Privacy
Privacy policy.
This policy explains what personal information nelpa collects, why, and how we look after it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
nelpa is the trading name of Nick Willitts, a sole trader based in Perth, Western Australia (ABN 56 530 427 016). In this policy, "nelpa", "we" and "us" mean Nick Willitts trading as Nelpa.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to talk with you and do the work. That can include:
- Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number, when you email, call or book a call with us.
- Enquiry details you choose to send through our contact form or the full AI check request. The website doesn't store them; they are emailed straight to us.
- Booking details you give when you book a call through Calendly, such as the time you choose and any notes about your business.
- Business information you share with us while we work together.
- Anonymous usage data. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't identify you or track you across other websites.
If you use the instant AI visibility check, we send your business name, what you do, your area and your website to the AI services listed below so they can answer the questions, and we email your details and results to Nick so he can follow up. Your email address is not sent to the AI services.
The ROI calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored anywhere.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health or financial details, and we ask that you do not send it.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you and arrange or hold a call.
- To quote for, deliver and invoice our services.
- To keep records we are required to keep, for example for tax.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing. If we ever send updates, you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business. They only handle your information to provide their service to us.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and provides Web Analytics. Vercel may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs, in Australia and overseas.
- Calendly, which manages call bookings. Calendly may store booking information outside Australia, including in the United States.
- OpenAI (ChatGPT), Perplexity and Google (Gemini), which answer the questions in the instant AI visibility check. They receive your business details, not your email address, and may process them in the United States and elsewhere.
- Resend, which delivers contact form enquiries and the results of the instant AI check to our inbox.
- Our email and business software, to send and store messages, files and invoices.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Where information is stored overseas, we choose providers that take reasonable steps to protect it.
How we store and protect it
We keep personal information in password protected accounts with reputable providers, and only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge to ask.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a concern about privacy, email nick@nelpa.com.au. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with its effective date.
